CHORAL SOCIETY.
At Die lirst meeting of the above society, held last Afonday evening, fort y performing members were prescm. The rules of the Society were read and confirmed by those present and letters of appreciation, with cheque enclosed, were road from Ml- J. Linklater, Al.P.', and AD Frank Robinson, vice-presidents.
The first work to be taken in hand by the Society will he Elgar's “The I'.lack Knight.” This work, while ii»»l dillicutl, is probably one of Sir Edward Elgar's most popular choral works. We consider the soi ii-ly lias made a. good choice for us first concert, and we wish it every success.
