DISCHARGE REFUSED. COMMENTS BY THE JUDGE. Auckland, July 2(3. In refusing the application for discharge from bankruptcy of Hans Peter Mortenscn Mr Justice Stringer said that the Assignees report showed that after the assets had been released the liabilities were 17405 and the assets 130. During the past live years Mortensen had systematically gambled in land. He appeared to have put through 22 transactions, his capital being an equity iu a property, lie bad kept no books. Such a man was not tit to carry business on bis own account amt incur liabilities.
