HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT.
The High Commissioner’s cable, dated the 19th July, reads: “Hemp, Manila market, quiet but steady. ‘J’ grade, July-September' shipments and afloat sold at £42 and value. N ew Zealand market continues quiet with fail' grade afloat sold at £35 10/-. Present quotations are high points £37, fair £35 10/-.”
