RENT RESTRICTIONS.
TO RE EXTENDED BY GOVERN MEN I.
Wellington, Last Night,
It is the intention of the Government to extend the rent restriction legislation which otherwise would expire on July 31. In the House of Representatives yesterday the Minister of Labour, the Hon. J. G. Anderson, informed Mr P. Fraser (Wellington Central), who asked a (juestiou on the point, that the Rent Restriction Bill was in the hands of the law draughtsman, and as soon us it was possible to be dealt with, that would he done.
