SECTARIANISM CONDEMNED.
Wellington, Last Night
The introduction of sectarianism into political discussions was strongly deprecated by Mr McKay when speaking in the House to-day. “I am very sorry,” he said, “that the member for Roskill has brought sectarianism in its worst form into this debate.” He spoke of the fact that there was no sectarian bitterness when dying soldiers were receiving the last ministrations on the bnttleliold. Christianity taught us to love our neighbours and even our enemies, therefore every Protestant should uphold its teachings, He would have thought that the lessons of (he war would have fended to cre-
ate better feelings and love for one another in civil life. Surely the time had come when we should consider ourselves as brothers. There was no haired worse than religions hatred and surely sectarian issues could very well be left out of debates in the House.
