UNITED SPORTS ASSOCIATION.
A committee meeting of the above association w.i- held in the Racing Club building- on Thursday night. Present: Air Perreau tin the chair), and Messrs Bryant, Parkin, Pearson, Hutchins and F. Rimrner (secret ary). The following ladies were also present: Mesdaines Pearson, Baker. Proctor and AFis- "Moore. Apologies for absence were re- . ejvcd from Messrs Chri-tie, W. E. Barber. A. N. Smith. J. Thomson and W. T. Jewell. Decided to rescind the motion on the hooks that a ball be held on the 14th August and that the date he fixed as the 7th August. Decided that prices of admission to hall he 10/- for double ticket, 77gents. 3 Ti lady’s and that the bull lie known as the United Sports Association Ball. Decided to -end invitations to people outside the borough of Foxton. and that no invitations be sent out locally. It was resolved to try and obtain Smith's orchestra for the ball. Alesdames Barber. Jewell, C. and F. Robinson and Bryant were elected chaperons and Messrs Jewell and Barber AL’sC. It was decided that the catering be done by a committee and the following ladies consented to being members of that committee: Alesdames Pearson. Head, Baker, Hynes, Alexander, Proctor and Miss Aloore, together with Air H. Hutchins. An advertising committee consisting of Messrs Perreau, Bryant and Rimrner was set up to go into the matter of invitations, etc. It was decided that the hall be decorated with file association's colours, black and gold, and matters of minor importance were discussed and the meeting adjourned until next week.
