ACCIDENTAL DISCHARGE OF

CUN. Whakatane, June 23. . Kenneth Sidney Brown, aged 23, died at the Whakatane Hopital on Saturday evening as the result of a shooting - accident on June 0. He was headmaster at Otakeri School, and was returning to his lodgings after being out .shooting hares in the afternoon. He endeavoured to pull his i>mi by the barrel through a wire fence, when the weapon went off and lodged the, wad and shot in the lower part, of his cheat. A severe wound was inflicted. Deceased never rallied. At the iuqueKt. to-day the Coii.ner relumed a verdict of accidental death.
