SENSATIONAL RUNAWAY.

MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED,

Dunedin, June 23. A sensational runaway took place to-day, when a horse attached to a delivery van bolted along Princes Street towards one of the busiest parts of the city. The horse swerved up High Street, and the van crashed into a telegraph pole outside the Grand Hotel. A woman, Airs Mandeuo, was knocked down, hut was not seriously injured. A man named Kropp, an hotel portth', aged 37, was struck by a shaft and seriously injured abont the head and face. He was removed to the hospital, where an operation was performed and he is now reported as progressing satisfactorily.
