Wellington, Last Night. The Wellington amateur boxing championships commenced last night before a crowded house. Results : Paperweight.—Colterili defeated Hurdle. Flyweight.—Jeffrey defeated Bunny. Woods defeated Norris, Birch defeated Turner. Bantam.—-Crowley defeated Russell, Nieholls defeated Saunders. Feather. —McArthur defeated Andrews, Black defeated Carroll, Keith defeated Smith, McArthur defeated Hodge, Guise defeated Robinson. Light. —Lewis defeated Coles, Hudson defeated Thorn, Burns defeated Fitzpatrick. Light-heavy. —Brown defeated Hebbend. The boxing throughout was of an interesting description, most of the bouts being very willing. __
