SOCIAL AND PRESENTATION
Mis.- Oxley was entertained by the local Methodist choir and friend- at a social in the Methodist schoolroom on Tuesday evening last, prior to her departure with her parents front Foxton. In appreciation of her services as a member of the choir and as a mark of esteem Mr H. Osborne, on behalf of the choir, presented Miss Oxley with a -mall silver clock. In doing so.he referred to the willing services rendered to the choir bv the recipient and her parents. He wished the family happiness in their new home. Mr Oxley returned thanks on behalf of his daughter and said lie was pleased to know that what little they had been able to do was so warmly appreciated. During the evening games were indulged in and the following contributed vocal items: Mrs Kendall, Misses Scadden, Hoffman, Chalk, Better, Messrs King and Osborne. The accompaniments were played by Mrs E. Westwood. Competition prizes were won by Misses Better and Bradshaw. A very tasty supper was provided by the lady members of the choir.
