WEDDING
CLAPIIAM-PERRTTT
A wedding which attracted distriet wide interest took place in the Rnndon Anglican Church last night, when Mr K. \V. Clnpham, son of Mr Claphani, one of the pioneer settlers of Kimbolton, was united to Elizabeth Laura (“Bessie”) daughter of Mr and Mrs J. IT. Perritt, well-known settlers of Random The church accommodation- was quite inadequate to meet the demands of the guests who were presen t from all parts of the district. The church was tastefully decorated and the bride, accompanied by her four maids and matron of honour, made a charming setting. The Rev. Mr Walk conducted the ceremony and subsequently delivered a most impressive address on the sanctity of matrimony. Upwards of 200 guests were subsequently entertained at the Snndon Hall, the interior of which had been converted into a charming bower, the decorations consisting of greenery, festoons and butterfly decorations. During the banquet Larkin’s orchestra played a number of musical selections and the usual toasts and felicitous speeches were made, after which dancing was indulged in. Upon the bride and bridegroom leaving the hall after the banquet, they were greeted with salvoes of cheers and liberally showered with confetti.
