CAR RENTIER’S NEXT FIGHT
TO MEET GIBBONS SHORTLY
New York, May 14. Georges Carpentier and Descamps (his manager) arrived for Carpentiers fight with Tommy Gibbons at Michigan City, on May 31st. They were greeted by a small crowd. Aii attempt to block the Carpen-tier-Gibbons fight and compel the Frenchman to abide by bis alleged agreement to piakc his first American -ring appearance against Gene Tunney, was frustrated when Carpen tier’s party evaded Tunney’s manager aud the latter’s legal for CCS.
