ECCENTRIC FROM WAR WOUND.
Gisborne, May 19. At the. inquest concerning tne death of- James Alexander Jessup, of Whatatutu, evidence was given thal deceased while on active service was shot in the head and had •since been eccentric. Mis widow gave evidence that. deceased disapproved of the children attending a dance on Triday, and the following morning he was found dead on the lawn with' a pea ride alongside. A verdict was- returned that death was due to a gunshot wound seifinllicted whiie temporarily insane.
