CHILDREN’S FANCY DRESS BALL AT MOUTOA.
A SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION. A most enjoyable children’s fancy dress dance was held in tho Morttoa Hall last night. The ha.ll was artistically decorated with greenery and cliinese lanterns and the pretty costumes of the children presented an animated and charming effect. The children had been trained in the movements of the polka and barn dance for some weeks past by Mr Aitkon. A dainty “Columbine” danced with a “Harem Lady,” little “Miss Confetti” with a “Golliwog,” the. “Cook” made hard work of it with a tiny “Nurse,” a “Dutch Boy” paired with a mite representing “Cupid,” and a miniature “Christinas Tree” preferred her own sweet company. " The May pole dance by the girts, with confetti effects was very spectacular and the little ones were accorded a great ovation. The music for the children’s dancing was played by Mrs Halley and Mr Aitken.
