SEQUEL TO CAR COLLISION. New Plymouth, Last Night. A verdict of guilty, with a strong recommendation to. mercy, was returned-by a jury in the Supreme Court to-day, against David William Daniel Darragh, the licensee of an hotel at Stratford, who pleaded not guilty to a charge of manslaughter arising out of a fatal motor collision involving the death of Miss Gustofson. Sentence! was deferred, pending consideration of a point raised by Mr P. O’Dea, counsel for the prisoner, that there had been a misdirection of the jury.
