WEDDING
\Y E.ST WOOD—FA’A NS. The wedding was solemnised in the Methodist Church, Foxton, yesterday afternoon, by the Rev. Peryiiian, of Mr Edward J. Westwood, eldest, son of Mr and Mrs J. Westwood, of Foxton and Miss Esther Madge Evans, youngest daughter of Mrs TT. Evans, also of Foxton. The interior of the church was very prettily decorated, (lie work being carried out by friends of the bride, and the service was fully choral. Mr W. Tliornber presided at the organ.
The bride, who was given away by her brother, Air A. Evans, was becomingly attired in a light fawn costume, trimmed with silk braid, with shoes and stockings In match, end hat of tomato-shade velvet, with kingfisher blue feathers and carried a bouquet of white jonquills, cream roses, asparagus, and maid-en-hair fern. Miss Fione Spring, cousin uf the bridegroom, attended as bridesmaid, and wore a dress of v.edgc wood blue satin moroe.ain, trimmed with tangerine silk net, a black velvet bat trimmed with blue, and carried a bouquet of white and cream chrysanthemums, asparagus and maiden-hair fern. Mr Garnett Westwood, brother of the bridegroom, officiated as best man. The bridegroom’s mother was dressed in a, pretty brown coatfrock, trimmed with braid with toque to match. The wedding cake and bouquets were made by Mrs E. C. Evans of Onroa, Taranaki. After the ceremony the guests were entertained at the wedding breakfast at Wall’s tea-rooms where (lie usual toasts were honoured and good wishes expressed. The happy couple subsequently left for Wanganui, where IHe honeymoon will be spent.
Both Mr and Mrs Westwood are well-known Foxton residents and will receive (tie congratulations and best wishes of a large circle of friends and acquaintances.
