FEBRUARY WORKING. The amount of gas manufactured during the month of February was 466,100 e.ft., which, with the amounl in the holder on February Ist made ‘a ’ total of 483,700 c.f t. Dur- ’ ing the month 408,200 ft. was used by consumers, 19,000 ft. in street lamps, 22,000 ft. at the works and there was 12,000 ft. in the holder on March Ist., making a total of 461,200 ft., and leaving 22,500 ft., representing 5.2 per cent., unaccounted for. Forty-two tons of coal were carbonised during the month, producing 11,098 cAt. to the ton. The receipts for the month were made up as follows: —Gas sales, (lighting) £lO9 8/-, heat and power £lls 19/-, coke sales £46 10/9, tar sales £5.12/-, weighing £1 5/6, fittings £l6 5/7, services 6/-, labour services 10/-, labour fittings £1 15s Od, miscellaneous 17/8, a total of £295 6/-. The expenditure for the month totalled £250 7/- and was made up as follows: —Coal £IOB 5/-, wages £SO 14/11, services £4 19/J, fittings £0 4/5, water £ls 18/9, working expenses £llO/2, printing and advertising £1 11/-, repairs 15/-, cartage and freight 17/-, interest and .-sinking f und £59 11/8.
