PRESENTATION OF FOOTBALLS
TO PRIMARY SCHOOLS. In furtherance of a motion carried at a recent meeting of the Homw hernia Rugby Union, Messrs E. .). Nash (President of Union) and .). Carmichael (secretary), together with the local delegates, Messrs Hutchins, S. Austin and Fred. Robinsoii, presented the three local primary schools cat'll with a football yesterday. The football for the beach -ido school was handed in with Dial for the local State school, U> be delivered by the headmaster. The money to provide footballs for primary schools is really a grant from ' the N.Z. Rugby Union. Mr E. J. Nash made the presentation on behalf of the Horowhenua Rugby Union. The idea of the pre mentations is to foster New Zealand’s national winter game in the country districts.
