MEETING OF MANAGEMENT
COMMITTEE. "?■ The weekly meeting of the Horo- \ whenua Rugby Union was held at • Levin on Tuesday evening, the president of the Union, Mr E. Nash, being voted to the chair. Also pre- - sent —Messrs Austin, Hutchins, Robinson, Hardie, O’Rourke, O’Connor, Dimock, Rimmer, and the secretary, Mr L. Carmichael. Decided that all clubs be notified that their balance-sheets must be sent in to the Union by April 28, and that in future the rule providing that chib balance-sheets must reach the Union by April Ist, shall r ' be enforced. - Decided that the president and secretary inspect all playing grounds. Decided to allow Weraroa to enter another third grade team provided that it is nominated before next meeting of the Union. Proposed by Mr Austin, seconded by Mr Robinson that a postponement committee be formed, to consist. of Messrs Nash, O’Connor and Rimmer, such committee to meet at 10 a.m.
Proposed by Mr Rimmer, seconded by Mr Austin, that delegates hand in names of schools in their districts for distribution of footballs and a committee be formed to distribute footballs to the following schools: Paekakariki, Paraparanmu, Waihoanga, Reikorangi, Te H)o----ro, Otaki (2), Manakau, Ohau, Uevin (2, Koputaroa, Shannon, Ma-
kerua, Tokomaru, Moutoa, Foxton (3), Training Farm, Rangiotu, Oroua Downs and Bainesse. Mr L. Carmichael was deputed to take charge of the distribution. Mr O’Connor gave notice of motion that a re-organisation scheme be discussed at. next meeting for the purpose of stimulating football through on) the Union.
