COUNTY BY-LAWS

MAGISTRATE’S DECISION. Gisborne, April 8. The Magistrate, Mr Levvy, dismissed the informations laid by the Cook County Council against the motor service companies for failure to comply with the county by-laws requiring them to re-register if plying for hire over the county roads, the magistrate holding the by-law to be unreasonable. He also expressed the opinion that service cars picking up passengers on the roads arc not plying for hire.
