CARNIVAL NOTES
[Published by Arrangement..]
Messrs Begg and Co., Wellington, have purchased an advertising space on the back of the “Big Art Union Ticket” for £5.
From the Horowhenua Review: “Tentative overtures as to a combined carnival in aid of the funds of the Foxton band, and tlie Beautifying Society’s objective—a children’s play-ground—were rejected at a public meeting held for the purpose of confirming the proposals, with the. result that the baud’s requirements will receive prior consideration, up to a total of £I,OOO.
