ACCEPTS PROAIOTION TO HASTINGS.
Speaking at the school teachers’ and committee social in the Alasonic Hall, last night, Air Hornblow, school committee chairman, said that he had just perused a telegram intimating tlia-t Air J. Banks had been appointed to the headmaster>liip of the Hastings Primary school and would probably take up bis duties there in May. He said that while regret would be expressed at Air Banks’ departure, thev were pleased to know that it- meant wellearned promotion. At a later date they would have an opportunity of fittingly farewelling Air and Mrs Banks.'
