SANITATION FEE.
HOT TO BE LEVIED THIS YEAIt.
At last night’s special meeting of the Borough Council the following motion was moved: —
“That the sanitation fee be not levied drring the year ending 31st March, 1925; the Council will undertake the removal of mghtsod from houses outside the area not yet served with public sewers, but which are within the present nightsoil area, out of its general rate. Property-owners who are in the area and have not yet connected up will have to make their own arrangements for the removal of nightsoil.” The motion aroused a good deal of discussion, Cr. Thompson strongly opposed it. After explanation by the Town Clerk the motion was put and carried, Cr. Thompson voting against.
