ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Christchurch, March 17. Stuart Anderson, aged 38, a poultry farmer, of Shirley, was kicked in the stomach by a horse, aud died on the way to hospital. Anderson, who carried out the duties of cattle ranger, was catching two horses to take them to the pound, when one lashed at him and dealt- him a severe kick in the stomach. Blenheim, March 17. A man named Frederick Cliffe, aged about 40 died suddenly at Picton this afternoon, while engaged iu loading sheep on the steamer Stonn. Cliffe, who is understood to be a native of Wellington, signed on 1 here a- boatswain on Saturday last. Hamilton, Marc 1 1 17. George Taylor, an elderly married man, employed as a runner and cleaner at the “Waikato Times” office was found dead in the “Times” strong-room this morning. Deceased had evidently entered the strongroom during the week end and turned on tbe gas. lie bad been considerably worried lately over his wife’s health.
