RAILWAY APPOINTMENTS.

DISTRICT TRAFFIC MANAGERS Wellington, Yesterday. The Hon. J. G. Coates, Minister of Railways, stated to-day that as the result of the resignation of Mr J. B. Mitchell, District Traffic Manager for Railways, Christchurch, the following appointments had been made by His Excellency the Governor-General. District iraffic Manager: Ohakune, Mr John Cameron; Christchurch, Mr Herbert Chapman; Wanganui, Mr J. G. Kickerby; Dunedin, Mr H. P. West, Wellington, Mr W. Hales. Mr Coates stated that the only remaining District Traffic Manager's position to he filled was at Invercargill, and a recommendation had gone forward to His Excellency the Governor General, ui connection with that position.
