MOTORING ACCIDENT.
ONE OCCUPANT KILLED.
Christchurch, March 11. A motor car containing hve persons upset near Coalgate yesterday owing to a tyre blowing out. Richard Bolstad was killed outright and the others ,>y,ere rendered unconscious. Those_iujured were: Herbert Hern, slight concussion; James Salt, broken wristjiW. -Bolstad, abrasions to .ftke* right thigh and buises on the ‘ 3 thest>i'HanS?Bblstad, injuries to the /»> .left hand and lace and knee. ' ‘ Salt and Hern were admitted to the hospital and the others taken to their homes. It was reported today that Salt and Hem were progressing favourably. Hem underwent an operation and his condition has considerably improved. Salt’s condition is not considered serious.
