The medical conference resolved on the motion of Dr. Kenneth MacKenzie “That this conference cau make no recommendation for surgical desexualisation in the treatment of adult sexual perverts. The only safeguard for young children in this matter is permanent segregation of offenders, either in prisons or on a farm of the chronic mentally and morally unfit, so that future generations may benefit thereby.” Dr. MacKenzie addressed the conference at length on the question, and several other delegates spoke to the motion which was carried unanimously.
