POLA NEGRI IN ‘BELLA DONNA’

Certainly the most discussed woman on the screen at the present time. Pola Negri, will be presented to moving-picture enthusiasts of Foxton at the Town Hall to-morrow evening in “Bella Donna.” The storv is adapted from the play and novel by Robert Hichens, and Aliss Negri as the vital magnetic woman of many loves, gorgeously gowned and seeking always for the pleasures and luxuries of the world, is in her ideal setting. The supporting cast includes Conway Tearle and Conrad Nagel. “Bella Donna” is recommended by the censor more especially for adult, audiences. Bull Montana’s first two-reel comedy, “A Ladies’ Alan,” a Travelogue and a Gazette complete the programme. Usual Cabaret prices. . Afarion Davies will be seen on Saturday next in a fine secret service drama, “The Burden of Proof” at usual prices. Robert W. Chambers’ wonderful -lory, which answers the cry of the so-called moderns, “Is marriage Essential?” will be screened on Monday, 3rd. Of course, everyone knows it’s “Common Law.” ROYAL PICTURES. The settings for Jack Hoxie’s latest Western starring vehicle entitled “Where is the West?” to be screened at the Royal Theatre tomorrow night, shift from a small Middle Western town to a Western cattle ranch and the vocation of lhe star changes from that of a milkman to a rancher. The Universal cowboy star will be seen in one of i he fastest action plays in which lie has yet appeared. It is a satirical comedy drama. A strong east supports the star including Alary Phibbin, Universal’s latest “find” as an emotional actress, who lias the feminine lead in the play. There is also a rattling good comedy entitled “One Exciting Night.” On Friday night a great Goldwyn drama eutitled “Grand Larceny” is to be screened with “Bungalow Bungle” comedy, and on Saturday night the picture you have all waited for, “Suds,” with Mary Pickford, will be shown.
