MAIN HIGHWAYS.
RECOMMENDED BY ALLNAWATU COUNTY COUNCIL.
The following roads have been recommended by the Manawatu County Council as main highways within their jurisdiction to the Main Highways Council: — Main Road (WellingUm-Wauga-nui) from Whirokino Bridge to the Bulls Bridge. Foxton-Palmerston North Hoad, from junction of Main Road at Ilimatangi to Rnngiotu. Palmerston North-Wanganui Rd., from Awahuri Bridge to junction of Main Road at Sanson. Fcilding-Awahuri Road. Ml. Stewart-Feilding Road. Shannon. Road. “No matter how well sprung a car may tie, to endeavour to drive in comfort over the roads in this district is absolutely impossible with fully inflated tyres,” said a motorist to our representative yesterday.
