BOROUGH BY-LAW BREACHES.
Al the local S.AI. Court yesterday before Mr.J. L. Stout., S.M. Richard Walton charged, with riding a bicycle after sunset without a light was convicted on two charges and fined 5/- and costs 7/- on the first charge and 10.'- and 7/- costs on (lie second charge. Arthur Fuller, similarly charged was lined 5/- and costs 7/-, ILLEGALLY TAPPING WATER SUPPLY. Charles Aldridge and William Aldridge were charged by the Borough Council (Mr Bergin) with unlawfully drawing uli water from the borough supply. Evidence was given by W. Neville, water overseer, as to the removal of the toby box. A line of £2 and 7/- costs in each case was inflicted. A similar charge against. A. E. Smith was adjourned until next Court day to allow further enquiries to he made, as defendant placed the onus of the offence on his tenant. WANDERING STOCK. For allowing stock to wander in the borough streets, W. D. Bauckham, F. Spiers and W. Barratt. were each fined 5/- and 7/- costs.
