ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Wellington, Last Night. A young girl was found lying at Ike foot of a cliff at’Lyall Bay. She was unconscious when discovered, but still' hVJ-afhing 1 .1 A''min’s Attention was drawn by some 5 stones rolling oil the hillside. Evidently the girl had fallen over the cliff shortly before? heftfuiid her. Up td the hour of wiring she was unidentified. OVERBALANCED ON BRIDGE. Gisborne, Last Night. In attempting to ride a bicycle this morning over a narrow footbridge crossing the Managapapa Creek, on the outskirts of Gisborne, Captain Gustaf Peter Solvander, overbalanced and fell fifteen feet. Apparently he crawled up the bank but died of injuries and shock. Deceased was seventy-one years of age and was sBVftntCBR years captain of the dredge John Townley. He had lived here for forty-six years.
