FOXTON SILVER BAND.
MONSTER CARNIVAL TO BE HELD. The local Silver Band has deluded to organise a monster carnival in aid of its instruments and uniform funds. Elsewhere in Ibis issue Ihe band invite applications for po-ilion of organiser. Already the hand has been promised assistance from Shannon, Sandon. Rougotea, and Oroua Downs in recognition of services rendered to these centres hv the hand. In conversation with Af r Holder we are informed that the special features of the carnival will be queen carnival, window dressing competitions, sports gathering, tin by show, monster concert. art union, etc., etc. It is anticipated that the carnival will be the biggest vet held in the town. We are informed that an effort will also be made to put on a quick step competition provided sufficient prize money can lie raised.
The hand is a deserving local inst it lit ion and it i- anticipated that ihe public will cordially assist in l lie. forthcoming effort. Further particular.- will appear later.
