BATSON'S REVENGE.

NOT INVITED TO PICNIC,

Sydney, February 18.

According to a statement made to the police, Batson suffering from chagrin at not being invited to the fatal picnic, revenged himself. A movement is afoot in Albury to raise funds for his defence. There is u good deal of local sympathy for him, under the belief that he became morbid, because he thought himself unpopular and resented being regarded as somewhat intellectually dull.
