RETAILER’S ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the above was held in Perreau's Rooms last evening, when there was a large attendance of members present. Messrs J. Golder and Wjnstanley were accepted new members of the association. Decided to send a letter of thanks to Mrs Pearson and her committee of workers for the amount raised by' their efforts in aid of the Christmas toys for kiddies. The amount realised was £5. Decided io send a letter of thanks to Mr Perreau for obtaining such a fine sample of toy's for the Christmas treat. Decided to close next Wednesday for the school picnic. Decided that the Association donate £lO to the school picnic fund, also several tins of lollies. It- was also decided to make a donation to the Foxton Fire Brigade. Decided that a deputation wait on the Borough Council with a view to getting Main Street cleaned up more regularly.
