ROYAL PICTURES.
Some of the most picturesque and historic places in the Southwest were utilised by the Roy Stewart unit in filming the Universal star’s latest picture, “The Uove Brand,” to be shown at the Royal Theatre to-morrow night. The story is a romance of Lower California, and the O’Neil rancho provides all of the scenic atmosphere called for in the story, from the rugged coast line of the Pacific shore to the broad mesas of the open cattle country. Many of the scenes in the play were filmed around the San Louis Ray mission. Comedy: “Round Figures.” Prices as usual. Everyone has thrilled at reading of' the exploits of the famous “Kelly Gang” some years ago. Now see the picture of their exploits, true to life, at the Royal Theatre on Thursday night. "Children of Jazz” is screened. The story deals with the jazz loving folk of tiie present day and compares Uicm with the more sedate men and women of the early fifties. How the children of jazz after many dramatic occurrences, come to a realisation that too rnuny of the frivolities ol life are harmful, makes a decidedly interesting story. Among the big scenes are colourful jazz parties, a snow party, an airplane escapade followed by the wreck of the plane at sea, and the exciting rescue of the pilot who has been pinned under the water.
