List’s sister was in a state of collapse when identifying her brother’s body at the morgue. The chief marks of identification were tattoo marks on the arm. Alolbourne, February 3.
A post-mortem indicates that List committed suicide, the arteries of both right; and left arms between the wrist and elbow, having been severed. The neck was not broken, as was supposed, the bruises thereon being due to decomposition, and the work of insects during the four or five days the bodylay partly in water. The portion covered by water was the better preserved. His pockets contained I‘illy a few coppers,.
