Recently Sir .lames Allen called a number of prominent New Zealander business and medical men together, says a London message, to discuss his proposed scheme for financing M. Spahlinger and thereby obtaining the Spahlinger serum and vaccine for the benefit of NeAV Zealand. The meeting Avas a private one, hut it is understood that two of the medical men present constituted themselves critics and brought up certain points Avhich required further investigation. These questions as avoll as others, which have arisen out of cable communications from New Zealand since Sir James launched his appeal in the Dominion, require to be ansAvered. and the High Commissioner, therefore, went over to Geneva the folloAving day to see M. Spahlinger again.
