ELECTRIC POWER RETICULATION.
THE FOXTON GROUP
At the last meeting of the Horowhenua Electric Power Board, the engineer reported on the progress of the canvass for consumers installations. The report stated the third group is now complete and includes the borough of Fox ton. The number of applications in this Group are—
Lighting Installations . . 130 Motors for general power 11 Milking motors 13 Hot. water services 12
Cooking ranges 4 Specifications and plans are now nearly complete and tenders will he invited for same almost immediately-
Group No. 4, commencing on the Foxtou-Levin road, is now being formed.
The total number of applications to date is as follows: — Lighting 318 Milking motors 25 General power 14 Hot water services .... 26 Cooking ranges 12 Mr McKay asked the engineer if the total number of applications for current was satisfactory.
The engineer: Yes, very satisfactory, particularly in Shannon. We are getting 90 per cent. In Foxton however, we have got only 110 to 115 in the borough. A number of people in Foxton want to see the current in the town before they sign up, so that they can see how the man next door is getting on with it.
