METHODIST SUNDAY SCHOOL.
The local Methodist Sunday School held their annual picnic on Victoria Park on Monday last. There was a good attendance of children, teachers and parents, in charge of Mr A. G. Huntley, superintendent, Mrs Huntley, secretary, and the Rev. J. Boothroyd, assisted by Air and Airs Banks, Atr J. Ohrystall, AErs.W. Walker, Airs W. Bullard, AHsses Walker, Clay, Brown, Scadden (2), Hofmann and others. Games were indulged in during the day and impromptu lunch and an excellent tea was handed round by the teachers. Races for the boys and girls were run alter tea, for which suitable prizes were given and each scholar was given a bag of lollies before dispersing. The weather was ideal for the occasion, the shelter of the large pinus insignus and maerocaipa trees was much appreciated and the picnic proved to be most enjoyable. Special thanks are due to Air and Airs Huntley, who spared no pains to make this annual gathering a success.
