WEDDING
WYLLIE—ROBINSON. A wedding which ci’eated much local interest was celebrated in All Saints’ Church, Foxton, on Thursday evening, when Dr. E. M. Wyllie, oniy son of the late Mr F. and Mrs Wyllie, late of Waitara, was united to Eileen May, eldest daughter of the late Mr J. H. and Mrs Robinson, of “Herrington,” Beach Rd., Foxton The church, which was artistically decorated for the occasion, was filled with friends and well-wishers of the happy couple. The service was fully choral and the Rev. W. 11. Walton, vicar of All Saints’, was the officiating minister. The bride was escorted and “given awav” by her brother, Afr R. H. Robinson, and was charmingly attired in a frock of ivory white morocain, sleeves of silver lace and trimmings, and she wore the orthodox veil, relieved with silver leaves and orange blossoms; the bridal bouquet was of azalias, lillies and carnations, with touches of pink and streamers to match. The bride was accompanied by Aliss Wyllie (sister of the bridegroom) and Aliss Lonia Robinson (sister of the bride). The former wore green satin. with touches of silver and black bat with pink and green streamers, mnl the latter salmon pink, with lunches of silver and black hat with pink and green streamers. The bouquets and streamers harmonised with the bridesmaids’ dresses. Dr McDonald, of Shannon, officiated MS best man and Air Vernon Robinson (brother of the bride) as groomsman. As the wedding party emerged from the church, they were liberally showered with rice and confetti. Upwards of 40 relatives of the couple were entertained at ••Herrington,” the residence of the bride’s parent, when the usual toasts were honoured and felicitous speeches made. Dr. and Airs Wyllie left by motor .nr later in the evening on their honeymoon. The bride’s going-away dress was a hand-braided mole costume with shoes and stockings to match, red hat and silver fox furs. All’s Wyllie (mother of the bridegrooni) was attired in bluish-green morocain and black hat and Airs Robinson (mother of the. bride) was attired in black silk and black hat. In common with Foxton friends, the Herald joins in wishing the happy couple health and happiness.
