OLD MAN KILLED
Tlawera, January 23. Thomas Russell, aged 70, a widower, who had been a resident of South Taranaki for 40 years fell from a cart on a farm at Kaupokonui yesterday, while helping to feed hay to cattle. A wheel passed over his chest and he died within half an hour. The deceased was a native of Birmingham, and came to New Zealand 50 years ago. He formerly lived in Wairarapa.
