WILLIAM FARNUM AT TOW HALL.

A cast to remember' —William Farnum plays the leading role in “Brass Commandments,” to be seen at the Town Hall on Saturday evening. Wanda Hawley plays opposite Farnum, Tom Santschi is the lui'king villain whilst Claire Adams has an interesting part. “Brass Commandments” is a dramatic effort with a story that keeps its interest. There is a romantic trend that promises highly satisfactory entertainment. Coming from the pen of Charles Alden Seltzer, whose tales are a delight to those who want breezy outdoor stories, this film has much to recommend its amusement value. The Lee kiddies will be included in the programme. Their vehicle is a tworeel comedy: “Wise Birds.” Usual prices, 9d and 1/6, children 3d and Gd. On Tuesday next (Race night) Helen Holmes, the queen of the movie stunt artists, will be seen in a fine Selznick feature, “The Ghost City.” On Wednesday, a fine Paramount Indian Sporting drama “The Tiger’s Claw,” will be screened at the Cabaret. Jack Holt is the fea lured star in this Oriental thriller. ROYAL PICTURES. Katherine MacDonald, more beautiful than ever, returns to the screen at the Royal Theatre tomorrow night in what is declared to be her best picture to date. “Curtain” is a story of stage life in which the star plays the role of a young actress, who, after a whirlwind courtship with- a man of millions, marries him. Later through bis infidelity, she returns to the footlights, only to return to husband and child when she learns that he has humbled himself to her and eaten-tke bitter fruits of a man robbed of the object of his real affection. “Curtain” is a romance of (lie footlights and Miss MacDonald has- one of the best roles of her whole screen career. Comedy entitled “Hickory Hirk.” On Saturday night Oscar Wilde’s famous play entitled “A Woman of no Importance” will be screened. Also Mermaid comedy entitled “Danger.” Look out for the specials coming next week.
