ROBBED HIS BEST FRIEND.
NORTH AUCKLAND SOLICITOR CAUGHT. Brisbane, January 1. Foster Bone, a New Zealand solicitor, was charged at the Police Court with stealing £SO from Robert Foster, at Kawakawa (North Auckland). The arresting policeman stated that Bone first denied his identity, but then confessed to the charge, and added that the amounts involved totalled £6OO. “I am sorry it is Foster,” he said, ‘‘He is one of my best friends.” ' "Accused was remanded, bail being allowed conditional on Bone re- - porting daily.
