FOXTON WINS MANS ON AND BARR CUP. After having withstood many challenges for the Mansou and BanCup. the Palmerston Nnrlh Club rink, skipped by Jones, lost the trophy to u Foxton team on Saturday. It was Jones’s 2otli successive game for the nip and. had he won, lie woul.l have lia<l that number of victories to his credit. -The match was even from the start, hut at the 9tli head Foxton led, 9 —5. Jones squared the score by the 17th hut two heads later Foxton.were in the lead, 17 —15. A four on the 20th to the visitors put the issue beyond doubt. The final score was Foxton 21, Palmerston North 17. The rinks were: Foxton: Simpson, Howe, Ross, Roore Rangiheuea (s); Palmerston North: Wilson, Rowling, Ramsay, Jones (s).

Pairs tournaments were held on the local green on Christmas Day and Boxing- Day, twelve pairs taking part on Christmas Day and six on Boxing Day.
