FATHER CHRISTMAS.

VISITS LOCAL CHILDREN. y On the afternoon of Christmas Eve, the local kiddies were visited by Father Christmas on Easton P’ark. Father Christmas arrived l per motor car and was greete<MF cheers from the crowd of lining the park. After greeting the children and wishing them the usual compliments of the season, Father Christmas distributed some 800 gifts to those children under the age of ten. The remainder of the toys were then scattered broadcast to the elder children in Main Street. The local Retailers’ Association wishes to thank the public for its liberal contributions towards the fund for the purchase of toys for distribution. If joyful countenances and happiness has anything to do with it, contributors were fully re-~-paid, judging by the faces of the children on Saturday afternoon.
