PRESBYTERIAN SUNDAY SCHOOL CONCERT.

The annual concert and prizegiving of the Presbyterian Sunday School took place on Thursday evening in the school room, the Rev. F. McDonald presiding. There was a very large attendance and the programme of varied items was carried out with great credit to the children. The following is the programme.—

Pianoforte selection, Katie Roore, recitation, “Tea Party,” Molly Downes; hymn, “Jesus Bids us Shine,” infant classes; recitation, Miriam and Wilfrid Symons; song, “Silver Lake,” Senior girls; recitation, Joyce Shaw; duet, “Daisy,” Uln. Cunningham and Connie McCartney; recitation, “Wouldn’t You,” Douglas Kennedy; hymn, “Sound the Battle Cry,” junior and senior classes; recitation, “Christmas Secrets,” Hazel Haydock; pianoforte selection, Madge MeColl; recitation, “Aeroplane,” Bruce McMurrav; trio (vocal) “Whiter Leaves,” Edna, Ivy, and Lexie Tollison; recitation, Doris Haydock; song, “Hush-a-bye,” Mollic- Downes; recitation, Gordon Whitehead; duet (vocal) “Absent,” Misses I. and M. Patterson; recitation, “Wee Davie,” Marjorie MeMurray; vocal quartette, “Golden Slumbers,” Joan Thymic, Madge MrColl, Miriam Spcirs, Susie Ra.ll- - recitation in character, “Up to Dick,” Guy Shaw; recitation, “’Xmas and. New Year Wishes,” Infant classes.

At the conclusion of the concert the Rev. F. McDonald presented the prizes to. the successful scholars. Upwards of 60 prizes were distributed, each child in the infant classes receiving a hook. The teachers wish to thank all those who assisted by donations towards prize- and refreshments. The teachers also wish specially to thank Mrs Kennedy for the carrying out of the .-upper arrangements, which left nothing - to ho desired. The singing ~f the Doxology brought the entertainment' to a close.
