Tlie third round was played at the Manawatu greens, Palmerston North, on Thursday, between Manawatu and Foxton, the games resulting (Manawatu being mentioned first) : —Mrs Clarke and RhodesWiJliams defeated Mrs Bryant and Miss B. Speirs, 26—2; Mrs Robertson and Mrs Campbell defeated Mrs Healey and Mrs Owen, 26 —22; Mrs Alcßea lost to Mrs Perreau, 21—? 26; Mrs Spring lost to Mrs Wyllie, 13—26. Totals: Manawatu 86, Foxton 76. Northern defeated Hunterville by 104 points to 46. The Terrace End representatives suffered defeat at- the hands of the Dannevirke- players. Results of a Twenty Minutes Tournament played ou Wednesday last: — Mrs Wyllie 6, Mrs McMurray 6, Mrs Healey 4,- Mrs Barr 4, Mrs Pearson 3, Mrs Moore 3, Airs Bryant 3, Airs Ball 3, Airs Downes 14, — Mrs Parkes 14. Results of a Singles Handicap match: — Mrs Parkes (14 bis.) defeated All’s Bryant (scr.) 26 —22; Airs E. Healey (scr.).defeated Airs Parkes (scr.) 26 —20.
