There was great jubiliation amotig the infant division at the local State school yesterday afternoon when Father Christmas attired in the orthodox dre.ss, so familiar to lhe little ones, arrived by motor ear to distribute all manner of toys from a well-laden Christmas tree. The old gentleman was haled with cheers of delight and was welcomed by the infant mistress, Miss Williams and the head master (Mr Banks). Father Christmas was in happy mood and gave a cheery word of encouragement to each child. No time was lost by the youngsters in testing out their presents and no child was overlooked. It was a time of great merriment. Mi’ Perreau officiated as Father Christmas and the arrangements were carried out with credit to all concerned.
