BAND OF HOPE

Tn the Salvation Army Hall on Monday night Inst, the Band of Hope held their final meeting for the year. .The Rev. F. McDonald presided over a packed house, which showed how enthusiastically the movement has been taken up. The gqdress. was given by the chairman, after which a short, programme was rendered by the children, which was much appreciated. Supper was then dispensed by the ladies and the meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the chairman and also to the Army for the use of the hall. The following contributed items : —Song, Lylla Robinson, recitation, Mona Moore, song, Mollie Downes, recitation, Ula Cunningham, song, Miss Hofmann; recitation Leach; company song by the S.A. girls, recitation Joe Smith; song, Nita Scadden; duet, Phyllis and Horace Tongs; recitation, John McKnight; recitation Rex Ball; recitation Florrie Symons.
