BOROUGH COUNCIL BYELECTION.

An election to fill the vacancy on the Borough Council, caused by the retirement of Cr. McMurray, will he held to-morrow. The polling booth will be situated at the Town Hall supper-room and the polling hours are between 9 a.in. and 7 p.m. The candidates are Messrs Harold Hamer and R. J. Thompson. Both candidates were aspirants for office at the last election. Mr Thompson is an ex-Councillor and Mr Hamer is a local boy who takes a keen interest in fire brigade matters and other institutions. Both candidates are well known and are anxious to serve the interests of the town and the result 'will depend upon their individual efforts to get the electors to record their votes.
